Housing Australia has signed its largest lending deal of approximately $517 million to support the delivery of 1,370 new homes in Melbourne under a partnership with Community Housing (Vic) Limited (CHL), the Victorian Government, and industry.

On 1 October 2025, the Home Guarantee Scheme was renamed the Australian  Government 5% Deposit Scheme. Introduction of Commonwealth legislation to establish the Help to Buy Program

Housing Australia notes that the Federal Government today introduced legislation into the Commonwealth Parliament to establish the Help to Buy Program that will be administered and monitored by Housing Australia. The Program has not commenced. More information will be provided once available.
