Housing Australia is commencing a Request for Proposal (RFP) process to expand the lender panels for the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme and Australian Government Help to Buy Scheme. This will increase choice and accessibility for home buyers across Australia as successful lenders are appointed to participate in each Scheme.

Housing Australia has today opened a Request for Proposal (RFP) process to expand the lender panels for the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme and for the future expansion of the Australian Government Help to Buy Scheme. The expansion aims to increase choice and accessibility for eligible home buyers across the country.

Housing Australia has released its 2024–25 Social Bond Report, highlighting significant progress in financing social and affordable housing and the measurable impact of the organisation’s investments on housing outcomes.

From 5 December, the Australian Government is making home ownership more achievable for more Australians with the launch of the Australian Government Help to Buy Scheme (Help to Buy) - a shared equity initiative designed to reduce upfront costs and open the door to home ownership for thousands of eligible Australians.
