About HAFF – Social and Affordable
Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) – Social and Affordable is Housing Australia’s primary program to increase the supply of social and affordable housing.
It brings together under one umbrella all the funding available through current Australian Government initiatives - the HAFF Facility, National Housing Accord Facility, National Housing Infrastructure Facility – Social and Affordable Housing, and Affordable Housing Bond Aggregator.
What support is available?
HAFF – Social and Affordable offers a wide range of support for social and affordable housing projects. Loans are the primary and largest form of support, with some grants also available.
Who can apply?
Most projects that meet the following criteria are potentially eligible for support under HAFF – Social and Affordable. This list is not comprehensive, and you should check the full eligibility criteria before applying.

You can apply for funding via two pathways:
- Funding Rounds – accepting applications during specific time periods; eligibility criteria may differ across rounds
- Ongoing Funding – accepting applications at any time; eligibility criteria are set.
