Supporting secure housing: Ahmad's Story

When Believe Housing Australia (BHA) tenant Ahmad moved into his brand-new, two-bedroom apartment in Panorama, it was quite the homecoming.

After arriving in Adelaide in 2007, Ahmad spent 12 years living in a small AnglicareSA Housing property on the very site where BHA developed the new apartment building, where Ahmad now lives.

“When Believe Housing Australia wanted to start the development of this new apartment building, it meant my home needed to be demolished, so they found me a new home,” Ahmad said.

“I am very happy to be back,” he said. “Living at Panorama means I am close to my family, and I am just 10 minutes away from the Salvation Army store where I volunteer.”

The complex, which opened in 2025, features 18 high-quality, affordable two-bedroom apartments to cater to a diverse community of singles, couples, and families, as well as 5 Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) properties for people with disability.

The Panorama project was made possible with Australian Government investment through the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF), offering residents rental accommodation significantly below the market rate, also known as affordable housing.

“This is a great place to live, I have good neighbours, and I am thankful for all the support of the Believe Housing Australia team, and managers who have helped me over the years.”

For Ahmad however, Panorama is all about his community.

“I have so much to be thankful for.”
