Spotlight on: Cammeray Social Housing Project

A new social housing development has opened in Sydney’s north with support from the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF), providing long-term, secure homes for vulnerable Australians, including those experiencing homelessness and women and children escaping family violence.

The Cammeray project offers 12 modern studio apartments purpose‑built for people facing homelessness or housing stress. The four‑storey building – a former boarding house - now includes a communal living area, shared laundry facilities, and landscaped outdoor space, with 3 units designed to be fully accessible for residents with mobility needs.

Conveniently located close to transport links, health and education services, as well as employment, these apartments are focused on resident comfort, safety and dignity.

The Cammeray project is another great outcome of the HAFF and collaboration between community and private sectors, as well as all levels of government, to create long-term housing security and give vulnerable Australians a safe place to call home.

This development is one of 8 housing projects being delivered by Link Wentworth with funding under the HAFF to increase the supply of safe, affordable and well-located homes across greater Sydney.
